It can surely be an up and down road! We used a flotation vest with removable panels for him. We slowly removed another panel at a time and before he realized it, there were no panels left but he felt confident with the empty vest on. We showed him that he could then swim without the vest and there was no stopping him after that!

learning to swim has been a dance for us. he was so close, swimming a short distance underwater and then he decided he didn’t like it so we haven’t tried in a long while but summer is on it’s way.
great photos. your little guy looks very confident.

We sure did, Boatbaby! They are fantastic people! We had a great time while we were down there. All of teh kids had fun and immediately likes them, but our second oldest really took to Maia while we were there. She was sad to leave and misses Maia.
You can see some of the pictures on our Flickr account and we will be adding some here as I have a chance to post more here.
That would be a long drive in a Honda civic! What great little cars though! I hear that they get great mileage!

I heard from Ceilydh that you all met up! What a fabulous family adventure! I can’t wait to see the photos and hear more about it. I hear ya about flying, it can be a bear. But we have a wee little Honda Civic, so driving for us is no cake walk either. Glad you all are home safe!
